Nothing in this clause limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of habitual residence.

Consumer rights

Your statutory protections.

These rights are in addition to anything granted in this Agreement and cannot be waived.

EU 14-day withdrawal

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), EU/EEA consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period to withdraw from distance-sold paid plans without giving any reason. Begin withdrawal: support@gishme.com.

UK Consumer Rights Act 2015

UK users get the statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. Plus a 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Brazil CDC

Brazilian users are protected by the Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Lei 8.078/1990), including the Art. 49 right of regret (7-day cancellation for distance contracts).

Right of withdrawal

EU / UK / Brazil users may cancel any paid subscription within the statutory cooling-off period for a full refund, even if you started using paid features (we may pro-rate consumed services where local law permits).

Dispute resolution

EU users may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. US users may elect AAA arbitration; small-claims court is always available. We participate in good-faith mediation before any litigation.

VAT-inclusive pricing

Prices shown to EU and UK users are inclusive of applicable VAT at the rate of your country of residence. Invoices itemize the VAT component. Business customers may supply a VAT ID at checkout to apply the reverse-charge mechanism where eligible.

Version

Last updated.

These Terms are version 2.0, effective 10 June 2026. Prior version: v1.0 (May 2026, US-only). Material changes since v1.0: governing-law table, consumer-rights section, ODR/AAA dispute resolution, VAT-inclusive pricing, distance-selling withdrawal rights.
