Cultural template · Quinceañera

A quinceañera, with a court of fifteen.

The 15th-birthday rite of passage across Mexico, Central and South America, and the Latin American diaspora. The template carries the mass, the court, the padrinos, and every traditional dance moment.

Varies by country and family — Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Salvadoran, Dominican, Colombian quinces each have their own style. Some families omit the religious mass; many add a quince trip. The template adapts.
